How We’re Funded

Several local, regional, and national organizations support the work of Groundbreakers Collective. We are very grateful for the financial support of our funders.

Bulkley Valley Credit Union – For over 70 years, the credit union has been a proud supporter of Bulkley Valley community projects like Groundbreakers. 

Canadian Cooperative Association – A national organization that supports cooperatives across the country, the CCA’s mission is to promote, develop, and unite cooperative efforts in Canada. 

Enterprising Non-Profits – ENP is a collaborative program that promotes and supports social enterprise as a means to build strong non-profit organizations and healthier communities. 

Investment Agriculture Foundation – Focussed on self-sufficiency and sustainability, the IAF helps BC organizations build prosperous and sustainable agri-food projects. 

Northern Health – Northern Health plays an integral role in the small and rural communities of northern BC and supports projects like Groundbreakers that contribute to healthy communities.

Noriyama’s Kale Salad

This salad tastes better after it sits for a while and the lemon juice has time to break down the lignins in the kale. Leftovers are very good the next day. The ingredients are few, so quality is the key to success, as is finely chopping the kale.
